The RF Planning service uses a state of the art RF planning tool and an extensive cryptographic data base in order to design the radio network in full detail and simulate the resulting radio coverage.
Given the spectrum availability and parameters of the equipment (base stations and CPE-s) and the data collected during the site surveys, the tool uses an iterative optimization process and simulates the RF propagation seeking an optimal RF network implementation.
Each point on the map is plotted with a color indicating the signal strength characteristics. Using this output, the performance may be calculated throughout the entire deployed area.
During the RF planning process, various frequency allocation approaches may be compared (reuse, bandwidth, number of frequency bands, inter-band marging)
